Water is essential for every aspect of life, and through your support to our water well charity project, you can help provide water to a community facing poverty. The Water Crisis in Pakistan

With a severe water crisis ongoing in Pakistan due to climate change, droughts, and even poor infrastructure, access to clean drinking water remains largely limited. Families have to often rely on contaminated ponds or water sources from distances that are often unsafe and unreliable.

We here at Emaan Relief are working to ease this burden upon families by installing water hand pumps, tube wells, and solar wells in communities that are most affected by water shortages. These projects are what help families access clean and safe drinking water that is close to their homes, reducing the pain of physical and emotional hardship that they face every single day.

Build Water Wells and Transform Lives

Providing water for the vulnerable is an act of Sadaqah Jariyah, a donation in which the reward for it can continue every time someone benefits from the water provided.

The Messenger of Allah (Peace be Upon Him) has said,

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three, a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.”

A reliable water source has the ability to transform a whole village. Children are able to focus on their studies instead of spending hours of their day collecting water from unreliable sources; parents are able to work, earn, and care for their families, and crops and livestock have the chance to survive through reliable farming.

Our water well charity project provides different types of water solutions depending on each area and its needs. Hand pumps are ideal for smaller communities, tube wells can support larger groups of people and suit the needs of agriculture, and solar wells can provide environmentally friendly solutions for water for entire villages.

Many donors often choose to build a water well to leave behind a lasting legacy for themselves or their loved ones. Whether it’s given with the intention of Sadaqah, Sadaqah Jariyah, or even Zakat, these projects continue to benefit people and generations for years to come.

Water Projects You Can Support

A hand pump has the ability to provide clean water and avoid the journey for individuals to search for water. This project can be completed for £110 and can make a difference to a household facing water shortages almost immediately.

Tube wells are deeper which means they provide larger quantities of water, ideal for communities and farming areas. The cost of a tube well would be £370 and can support families and communities with their daily water needs.

Solar wells are in place to offer long-term and eco-friendly solutions for villages where access to water is extremely limited. These systems use solar energy that pumps water efficiently. Each solar well can be installed for £980 and has the ability to transform the livelihood of a whole community.
