Pakistan was hit by a catastrophic flood in 2022, the worst in the country’s history. It was a massive disaster that tore through communities, leaving millions of people with nothing. Over 33 million people were left homeless, and countless families lost everything they owned. Schools were destroyed, interrupting children’s education, and with 2 million acres of farmland ruined, hunger became a serious problem.
But amidst the devastation, there was hope. Inspired by the Quran, Emaan Relief stepped in to help. As the Quran says,
“Whatever donations you give are for parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, and travellers. Whatever good you do is certainly well known to Allah.”
(Al-Baqarah 2:215)
We built an entire village for those who had lost their homes, giving them a chance to start rebuilding their lives. This incredible act of kindness showed that even in the darkest of times, people can come together to support one another.
Emaan Relief Village: A Mission of Hope
The devastating floods in Pakistan left countless people in desperate need. In the face of this catastrophe, Emaan Relief envisioned something extraordinary: the Emaan Relief Village in Pakistan. It was more than just providing aid; it was about rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, and offering hope for a better future. This mission was inspired by the teachings of Quran and sunnah.
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"The merciful are shown mercy by Ar-Rahman. Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from who is above the heavens..”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi)
Offering Shelter, Transforming Lives
The Emaan Relief Village became a place where families could find safety and a roof over their heads. Children were able to go to school and learn. Most importantly, it gave people hope for a better future. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , taught us the importance of caring for those in need:
The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Immediate Response
Alhamdulillah, Emaan Relief responded swiftly to the crisis. Our team traveled to various affected areas within Pakistan, providing immediate assistance to those in need. This effort was inspired by the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who said:
Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease a difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and the Hereafter.”
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1930]
Guided by this hadith, our team worked tirelessly to offer relief, driven by the belief that serving humanity is a form of worship.

Emaan Relief made education a priority by building a school within the village and providing them with the chance to learn and grow, opening doors to a brighter future. Education is more than just lessons; it's about empowering young minds and helping them reach their full potential. By providing this essential resource, we are fulfilling our duty to support the next generation.
